Title: †33T
Artist: Trygve Luktvasslimo
†33T is a project specifically created for Persbo Studio. This
umbrella title includes three components: a performance in the
chapel, an installation of drawings in the barn, and a permanent
sculpture which inaugurated the sculpture park.
The title †33T alludes to the numerological connection between
the artist recently turning †33T and that being the same age that
Jesus died.
Luktvasslimo sets the occult within navel-gazing pop culture in
relation to individual perceptions. †33T materializes the baseless
argument and exposes us and the artist to the rhetoric of
mainstream media and contemporary culture. The project takes
on an authoritarian voice which speaks in tongues; echoes in the
chapel; exhausts, motivates and questions the freedom of
choice of the common man. Luktvasslimo reevaluates trivial
gestures and articulates them with monumental reverberations.
†33T exists in the space between manipulation and proselytization.
We wish to thank Billedkunstnernes Vederlagsfond in
Norway, which has generously supported this project.

Title: Make your own JUMPSUIT! - workshop
Artists: The Rational Dress Society - Maura Brewer & Abigail Glaum-Lathbury
Saturday May 2, 2015 - 10:00 am
In this workshop at Persbo Studio we will spend a full day learning to construct our own JUMPSUITS, following the
official Rational Dress Society pattern. Students will select from 120 sizes and by the end of the class, each student will have
a wearable, ungendered monogarment to replace all other clothes in perpetuity. What if you never had to pick out an outfit
again? What bonds might be formed between JUMPSUIT-wearing individuals? Come to the workshop and find out!
All participants should bring a minimum of 3 meters of non-stretch woven fabric (such as denim, twill or duck cloth) in a color
or print of their choice. Additionally, students will need to bring a working sewing machine, scissors that will cut fabric,
pins, a 68 - 76 cm metal non-separating zipper, thread to match your fabric, and a seam ripper.
If you would like to participate in this workshop please respond to: info@persbostudio.com
In your response please include the measurements indicated on the chart below, so that we can prepare a pattern for you.
This workshop and residency has been made possible with generous support of Konstnärsnämnden / The Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
